Our dear friend and his family need our help!
The father of the family, a native of Baltimore now living in Eretz Yisroel, was victim of a terrible fraud by people he had good reason to trust. As a result, he is now facing terrible consequences including possible prison time and an unbearable amount of outstanding debts, which, if not paid immediately will cause the situation to become even more dire.
The need for financial help is urgent: large sums are needed to settle bank loans, pay back debts owed to the government and to suppliers, and to stop creditors from seizing his assets. Additionally, payments must be made to the legal teams who are handling the various aspects of his situation.
His wife, who is expecting, and his 3 children are in danger of losing their home and their father/husband is in danger of being sentenced to prison. Your tax-deductible donation today will go directly and in its entirety towards stopping these terrible outcomes and getting the father back on his feet so that he can continue to support his family, b’ezras Hashem.
Local Rabbanim in Baltimore signed letters urging the community to support this cause, including HaRav Aharon Feldman Rosh Yeshiva, Ner Yisroel, Rav Moshe Heinemann Rav, Agudas Yisroel Baltimore and Rav Mordechai Shuchatowitz Rav, Av”b, Baltimore.
Here is an excerpt from a letter signed by Rabbi Uri Zohar describing the background of what happened to the father:
“...After setting up a successful real estate brokerage business, he started a small development project, building two villas in Ramat Beit Shemesh. Tragically, the contractors that he had good reason to believe were reliable, robbed him and not only destroyed his business, but also wreaked havoc on his personal life.
In the end, he lost his business and the 2 buildings. He also has to deal with the lawyers of irate investors, the repossession of his personal property, the loss of his apartment, and is in danger of a prison sentence for not paying VAT on the sale of one of the villas. The situation has put the whole family under tremendous pressure.
Recently, experienced individuals and friends have gotten involved, trying to put an end to this unbearable situation. They have developed a complete and comprehensive plan to save the family, which includes careful overseeing of all family financial matters.
May all those who help be blessed with all the Torah’s blessings.
Rabbi Uri Zohar”
The following is an addendum to the letter with further testimony to the worthiness of this cause:
“We also join in the urgent plea to come to the aid of (this individual), who has been an enormous supporter of Torah and Torah families.
